VoIP Error Message

These are some possible solutions for errors that you may get when trying to set up your voip. I am sure there are still a lot of them. I know some errors but could not find the solution yet, I hope you guys could help me.  Please post your knowledge here!

Registration Error:

400 Bad request  ,401 Unauthorized  ,  403 – Forbidden, ‘404 Not Found’, “407 Proxy authentication required”, 513 Message Too Large

Check username and password, if you copy paste the username and password, make sure there is no space in between. To avoid this problem, just type you username and password instead of doing copy and paste.

407 Proxy authentication  required

Make sure you have “ sip.nomado.eu “ on Registrar,  and Proxy Server

408 – Request Timeout

This error is likely caused by incorrect server information (domain, server address) entered in your SIP account.

This error may also be caused by a router, firewall, or anti-spyware software that is blocking the SIP signaling to the SIP servers, or possibly problems with your internet connections.

It’s  recommended that you bypass the firewall or disable it.

Other possible solutions:

1. Try turning off the softphone QoS in Options | Advanced Menu | Quality of Service tab (in Bria: Preferences | Quality of Service).

2. Try disabling all codec’s with the exception of the codec necessary for the call. This is most times G.711u, G.711a or G.729
